NCCU and Duke University will host, “Building Interdisciplinary Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH)” with Duke BIRCWH Scholar Dr. Janet Horton in the Department of Radiation Oncology, “Tailoring Radiation to the Tumor: Fas in Breast Cancer Radioresponse,” and NCCU BIRCWH Scholar Dr. Darlene Taylor, Department of Chemistry, “Smart Therapy for Uterine Fibroids". BIRCWH is a mentored, career development program for junior faculty that provides 75 percent of faculty salary support (release time) for a minimum of two years. The application process for a new NCCU BIRCWH scholar will be presented.

This event is hosted by BRITE, JLC-BBRI, Pharmaceutical Sciences Department, Biology Department and the Chemistry Department.
