“Not Voice as Usual” — A Visual Concert Experience

Event Description
Lenora Zenzalai Helm, NCCU music instructor and noted recording artist, will perform original compositions and arrangements. The event will also capture the talents and artwork of Delores Hayes, an emerging young artist who is completing a degree as an art major at NCCU. This intersection of art disciplines covers Helm’s own musical compositions, and the music of a wide array of composers and genres from Negro spirituals, to Vivaldi, Rachmaninoff and Villa-Lobos and through to the music of Joni Mitchell, Charlie Parker and John Coltrane.
