Department of Criminal Justice Alumni Recognition and Scholarship Banquet

Event Description
The Department of Criminal Justice will host its Ninth Annual Alumni Recognition and Scholarship banquet. The keynote speaker is Tony Russell, superintendent of the Emergency Management Institute, the which trains and educates emergency managers at all levels and from all jurisdictions in keeping with the highest standards of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Cassandra Deck-Brown, Raleigh’s new chief of police, will receive the 2013 Chair’s Award. Six students will receive scholarship awards, and criminal justice alumni will be recognized for excellence in law enforcement, corrections, juvenile justice and loss prevention. The banquet is open to the public, and tickets are on sale now.
